1GHz Tablet with ICS from Asxus



It is called as iBerry and it comes from the house of Asxus. Looking at the name of this 1GHz tablet, seems like they got inspired from ‘i’Pad, Black’Berry’ & Asus. For just Rs.5,990 this seven inch tablet comes with good touch screen that supports 800 x 400p resolution and it comes with a dedicated dual Mali-400 graphics engine. Along with that, it is powered up with a 1 GB of DDR3 RAM and a storage capacity of 4GB, which can be expanded to 32 GB through the MicroSD card slot. The tablet also features a mini-HDMI output capable of handling full HD 1080p video playback. It is Wi-Fi-enabled (b/g standards), supports 3G through USB dongles and has a front-facing camera.

Just like most of the tablets these days, this tablet too runs on the Android ICS 4.0.

Karbonn has also joined the tab bandwagon with the launch of its Smart Tab 1. Priced affordably at Rs. 6,990, Karbonn claims to offer better gaming experience and video with this tab. People looking for use of tablet for entertainment could find this tab appealing. 

The screen size is 17.8 cm. While the OS is Android, v4.0.3, Ice Cream Sandwich, the processor is 1.2 GHz Processor. It also offers an expandable memory upto 32 GB. Along with Wi-Fi support, the 3G support is offered through USB Dongle. The makers claim a music playback time of 25 Hours and Full HD Video Playback of upto 10 hrs

HCL Me Tab X1 and U1

HCL has already tried its hands in the budget tablet market with its Me Tab X1 and U1 but probably could not make its presence felt in the market. Now it seems like it plans to review its position by introducing yet another tablet based on Google’s latest mobile OS, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Dubbed as HCL Y2, the device is expected to cost Rs. 15,000 and be available in August 2012. The tablet will be not only support Wi-Fi but 3G SIM capabilities too. Some of the other featurs include a 1GHz Arm Cortex A8 processor, 512 MB RAM and access to HCL Me App Store.
