Is the new iPad just HD and nothing more? 

Yesterday Apple unveiled the third generation of its popular iPad with a lot more features than just the HD screen. Other features include 4G or LTE compatibility, a high-resolution display and a'quad-core processor' for display. Yes, you read it right. It now comes with a QUAD CORE processor for display in an attempt to make the existing competition irrelevant. Following are key features of this new iPad.

Processor and graphics

It now has a Apple A5X ARM-based unit. Though it has quad-core graphics but overall it is still a dual-core based unit.

Retina display

The new iPad has a stunning retina display just like the iPhone 4 and 4S. The resolution goes to a 2048 x 1536 pixels.

5MP Camera with 1080p Video recording

5MP i Sight camera that can record 1080p video and also has a 5-element lens plus auto face-detection, auto focus lock and image stabilization for video.
